Portrait Photography as Iconography
One of the most powerful and available mediums for creating imagery that vitalizes is the camera.
We all value special photographs. They're in our wallets, on our walls, around our neck, and next to our beds. Portraits hold time, store energetics of a past moment, and become portals into the depths and the somas of our human experience. They illuminate roadways to the heart of the personal sacred within us.
All mystics teach us that our deepest spiritual gift as humans is being able to shape and change external reality through our complete presence within each moment of life. As modern physics and quantum mechanics catch up with yogic science and reveals the ecstatic malleability of the now, it becomes greatly important to develop a certain "habit of mind" to cultivate energies which uplift, resolve, generate, and enlighten. It is what causes the light to prevail. It is why doing medicine art--to even the smallest degree--- becomes an undeniable contribution to the collective heart of humanity.
The hunt for medicine art images in daily life is one that doesn't disappoint. From stage to flowers, to children and mountains, to furry friends and icons, medicine art portraiture transcends its own timeline, directing our spirits to that which nourishes and delights. The creating and sharing of such art becomes, therefore, an evolutionary and deeply compassionate event.

"On Light"
Landscape Deva from "Faces of Findhorn"
"When we ask you to think of plants, or anything, in terms of living Light, we are not trying to detract from the beauty of the world as seen through human eyes, but to add to that beauty, to add more reality to it, to help you lift all creation.
By thinking in terms of Light, you add Light to that already existing; you speed growth and enhance beauty, you see truth, and link with inner reality...
Each individual draws to himself the result of his thinking...
Think in terms of Light, and you will get a response from all creation. All creation is Light, though obscured by human thought.
Even dense matter will respond, and all will be linked in joy."
